OUR ARTIST AND FOUNDER MARIA LOYD

The One of a kind founder Artist Maria Loyd, born in Colombia on the very low income and poor conditions communities, she belong to her Government programs at the age of 7 the first lady at the moment Dr. Graciela de Samper in the 1960’s created a beautiful program to teach kids in poor condition or with no parents how to survive hand making pieces of Art by learning how to express them feelings, desires, happiness, sadness and surroundings though art in the fabric. Mrs. Samper inserted native tribes from entire country on this programs in order to maintain the kids learning and using them creativity and the creativity of the native people as well. The kids learned how to created them own lumps also received variety of lessons to tech them how made them own clothing, crochet ponchos , plate mates, table mates, crochet bags, crochet crazy hats, wood tapestries, recycled fabric tapestries, recycled fabrics dolls, handmade shoes , handmade bags it was a fun process which will help with the fast and easy learning process to explore the individual abilities of each kid so they can specialized individually with different native cultures focused on the best for the kids individual progress reaching the maximum capacity to reproduce in a timer matter the learning process and the life style of the different native communities as well as survive to be able to overcome all difficulties on them way.

The first lady programs taught Maria how to create a business, how to sell her own pieces of Art, and how to maintain a budge to continue. Things that Maria implemented todays in her foster kids seminar here in America with the purpose of repeat the successful story by example. Mrs. Samper programs picked the best 10 with hands around the country and Maria was one of them. The program gave them a special training to created Mola Fabrics which was her favor and her passion until today’s which is a layer over layer autochthonous abstract technique from her Native Cultures Kuna Tribes.

This was one of the longest process to learned along with the second type of sawing technique which are wall tapestries from recycled fabrics less abstract than the Mola fabrics thought. Maria growing in Colombia started her journey at the age of 7 years old worked her way up in Art nationwide shows at 9 and getting in to a bigger stage on the fashion industry with the biggest fashion companies on her country.

Maria is the owner of Artisan Gifts LLC and Owner of Mabacol Brand. She didn't feel proud of her pass with such a difficulties leaving in poverty and a such a poor conditions that she overcome getting in to bigger stages, biggest fashion industry companies in her country until she expatriating to United States in 2004 because the high risk of her American family her husband an International Artist and Opera and classical symphony orchestra musician working 18 years for her Government and her beautiful three girls were in a high risk for the amount of bombs explosions all over and for the constant keepnaking to foreign people the unsafe environment was finished one she got to Unite States which with her amazing experience on fashion and her Art she received a well pay opportunity to work with the beauty and fashion industry in New York City which gave the opportunity to her to learned the langue and to learned about beauty industry helping hundreds and hundreds of hairdressers and businesses owners to implement what she learned when she was a child helping growing beauty and fashion business to grow.

In 2015 Maria had a car accident which gave it her a permanently BACK INJURY she decided to stayed permanently in Pennsylvania and created her OWN company with the support of so many people she started at the Lehigh Valley Mall in PA also national Art shows which gave her the popularity and recognition on TV news and press, she got the invitation to participate in a international Art shows as well also she used to set up her outlet line of products during summer time on a Fleat Markets around the area with an excellent answer from the visitors who appreciated her Art and still loyal to her they they still coming to visit her Gallery to continuing the support for her Art and her business.

Maria has been fortunate to have traveled extensively through Natives communities around the world which gave her appreciation for other cultures, traditions, sharing her Arts and believes “one of the most enjoyable thing to do Maria said”. This, coupled with her own sense of creativity power and her unique fashion Ideas provided her with impeccable eye for every single of her creations under her MABACOL brand collections.

It has been the base and the main goal of her business to support native schools and poor communities as she was part of one. She have a very active giving back programs dedicated to Natives kids communities who taught to her what she does todays’s she has been adding other kids programs dedicated to help kids here in America , It is her priority and it is imperative for her to give the Native kids and natives communities a 10% of her profits every year. Maria said…….

“ I DID THE COMMITMENT WITH GOD TO GAVE 10% OF MY PROFITS TO HELP KIDS” “I want to implement my Art and show myself as example for new generations to follow” Maria is a foster kids speaker here in America she created a seminar for this foster kids to teach them how to survive with $10 dollars per week, credit card management, car insurances knowledge, and budgets.

She created a seminar for the native Kids communities as well which teaches them step by step how to plan the future, how to reach goals when you don't have anything it is a beautiful seminar enriching the hope and the progress of the Native Kuna New Generations. Maria also supporting the Burn Camp here in America. Which is amazing summer camp for burn kids helping them to get self steam and confident. She started donating an item them she is ready to donate and be one of the monetary supporter giving a portion if her giving back programs but most importantly her time as speaker and as example of surviving human in difficulties.

Maria donated the Native Wayuu Bracelets another Colombian tribes community for the kids on the reading program at Jim Thorpe PA, library to motivate them to continue. This is a beautiful program to motivate more kids and new generations to read books since them early years in life.

She started a donation for the Police Department to support the cybercrime and bulling investigation for the benefit of youth generations attack by other students. Maria’s passion and love for animals it is show as well when she founded a newborn squirrel on the floor of a big high tree, she was crying for the impotence of knowledge to treat a baby animal with an injury and to maintain the baby animal alive!! She took the baby animal to a emergency animal wildlife rehabilitation and education center they have a such a beautiful program WITH JUST A VOLUNTARY WORKERS “ THE POCONO WILDLIFE REHABILITATION & EDUCATION CENTER” which she got in love and put them in the list of her GIVING BACK PROGRAM.

Maria love kids because on her childhood someone help her and believe in her and here she is she didn't stop, since her company started she has being helping the basketball programs with kids living on the streets, she donated then uniforms and basketballs for them to be able to continue on them practice. Also she give a way yearly more than 500 hundred breakfast for kids and families leaving on the streets also Maria gave those kids recycled toys and clothing that she accumulate from donations of her friends and donations from her own kids.

Maria’s big 2021 goal is to be able to clean of contamination the native school surrenders and to be able to complete one of the Natives kids school community leader dream…..he wants to be a lawyer so Maria using her company Artisanal Gifts and her Brand Mabacol will complete this beautiful dream paying for his collage to help him and the entire community to have a leader as him. They need people like this amazing kid to grow better Generations and to grow the economy of Kuna tribes land which Maria has so much love and passion in appreciation for what they taught to her.
